Competition with unity and the advent of social partnership. Analysis of the theory of optimum development

Shelkoplays Evgenii Valentinovich

Competition is not an internal inescapable characteristic of economy. According to Development Optimum Theory, it is a reflection of initial, odd-numbered (first and third) drive of man and society, i.e. differentiation and expansion, reflected in «short-term values of human existence», and in the egoism which according to A. Smith is typical for persons involved in economic activity. Private-property-based economy destroys the origins of human and society's power – the sociality (partnership), originating from «long-term values of human existence», even-numbered (second and fourth) basic human drives, known as identification (integration), and cognition of human existence laws. Today's primitive social and economic egoism does not match long-term values of human existence, thus reflecting the nature of the global economic crisis. There is a need to shift from the narrow economic standpoint, which is focused on reproduction of material «useful items», to the domestic approach which is focused on balanced reproduction of material, social and spiritual resources.
